Pomegranate Chutney / Danimma Pachadi

Pomegranate is very healthy fruit.It contain Potassium, Vitamin A ,B(Niacin-B3,Pantothenic acid-B5,Folic acid-B9),Vitamin C , E and Iron.Pomegranate' contains lot of antioxidants.some of health benefits of pomegranate are,,
It reduces Inflammation.
 Increase immunity function.
 Reduces hart diseases.
 Strengthen the gums.
 Reduce dental plaque.
 Soothe mouth and throat ulcers.
and more..
Some times we can't eat the sour pomegranate seeds.at that try this Pomagranate pachadi and it is so simple to make,Eat this pachadi / chutney with chapathi , Dosa,Pancake,Hot rice.

Ingredients :
Pomegranate seeds-1 cup
Green chilly-3 or 4
Coriander powder-1 tsp
Cumin powder-1/2 tsp
Tamarind pulp-2tsp
Salt to taste
coriander leaves few
For seasoning :
Vegetable oil-2 tsp
Coriander,mustard,cumin seeds - 1tsp
curry leaves-1 spring
garlic clove-2
Method :
In frying pan add 1 tsp of oil fry the green chilly.In a blender add all the ingredients and fried green chilly, grind into smooth paste.in the same pan add 2 tsp oil fry the seasoning ingredients till cloves turned into golden color.add the seasoning to the grinded paste  and mix well.that's it pomegranate chutney is ready to eat.serve with hot rice or roti....

Simple Onion Chutney


This is the simple,easy and tasty version of onion chutney.
Ingredients :
Onion -1 Big
Red chilly powder-3 tsp
Dry coconut powder-2 tsp
sugar-1/2 tsp
oil-2 tsp
salt to taste
Method:
Chop the onion into big pieces.In a blender add Chopped onion and crush them.then add red chilly powder,sugar,salt,coconut powder again grind to combine them.but don't grind into paste.transfer into a bowl add oil and mix it well.this is perfect for any dosa,idli,roti.

Palli Pachadi/Peanut(Ground Nut) chutney-1

Peanut chutney is  a perfect combination for idly,dosa,vada, upma..,,,Preparation of this chutney is so simple and tastes delicious.Ones roast the pea nuts and keep in air tight container for long time,whenever u want peanut chutney,u can make it with in mins.
Ingredients:
Peanuts-1 cup
green chilly or red chilly-3 or 4 nos
roasted chana dal/putnalu-1 tsp
tamarind extract-2 tsp(optional)
coconut powder-2 tsp(optional)
salt to taste
For seasoning :
cumin seeds,mustard seeds,coriander seeds-1tsp
curry leaves-1 spring
Method :
Roast the peanuts in a medium heat till nuts turned into golden color.cool down it and remove the skin.
heat the pan add 1 tsp oil then add chillies,saute for few mins.
In a blender add roasted peanuts,chilly,roasted chana dal,coconut powder then grind them into powder now add tamarind extract,salt,water little by little.then grind into fine paste.transfer into a bowl.heat oil in a pan add seasoning ingredients when it spluttering add it to chutney.serve with idly,dosa,pesarattu,vada.....

Ginger chutney/allam pachadi

Ginger chutney /Allam pachadi is the combination of sweet,spice and sour.This is perfect chutney or pickle for pesarattu ,idly,dosa,roti and rice.


Ingredients:
ginger -50 gms cup remove skin,wash and sliced
gaggery-50 gms grated
tamarind-50 gms
red chilly-50 gms
coriander, cumin,fenugreek  seeds -each 1 tsp(optional)
salt -1 to 2 tsp as per taste
for seasoning:
mustard, coriander seeds-1/2 tsp
curry leaves-1 spring
oil -3 tsp
Method:
 Take the tamarind into a microwave safe bowl add little water to it. put it in microwave and cook for 1 to 1 1/2 min.then tamarind cook very soft .make sure the water should be evaporate while cook .because the water will not store the pickle for long time.cool down the tamarind
Mean time Heat the pan on medium flame then fry red chilly and coriander,fenugreek,cumin seeds  separately.let it be cool.
once cool all the ingredients grind fried red chilly, coriander,fenugreek,cumin seeds into powder.then add  cooked tamarind,ginger,gaggery,salt grind them into fine paste.take it into bowl.
for seasoning heat oil frying pan add mustard ,coriander seeds and curry leaves.when it spluttering add it into allam pachadi.in seasoning you can also add 3 to 4 garlic cloves.
store it in airtight container and refrigerate it.it can be store for long time.
