Paper Mache Clay Elephant

In our(Indian) traditions most of occasions we used bamboo baskets and bamboo tray used in the kitchen for regular use.After few months the bamboo tools became and looks like older.To bring newer look to them my Grandma used to make this paper mache clay and paste it to bamboo tools,dry it at sunlight.When I was in PG I made this elephant craft with that paper mache.

Materials :
Old news papers
Fenugreek  seeds(few)
Water for soak
Black acrylic color or ash color
materials for decoration as per your taste..
Method :

Tear the old papers as you can,soak fenugreek seeds and papers about 1 or 2 days.Drain them completely and grind into fine thick  and smooth paste.To get the dough consistency of paper mache I added fenugreek seeds.you can also add all purpose/wheat flour(not too much) to paper mache rather adding fenugreek seeds
now take the paper mache into your hands and mold the elephant shape.I made this craft 3 yrs ago.I don't have step by step pictures.I have only final craft.So here I am explaining step by step with dough.

make 2 teeth's(1 big & 1 small) and tale by rolling the mache into thin strip.for the teeth and tale take a  pin or any sharp edge just poke into the elephant make a small hole at trunk for the teeth and at back side for the tale and glue the edges of the tale and teeth put and paste them into hole.let it dry for over night.paint it with black color,decorate as per your taste.

Wedding Stage with thermocol sheet

This craft made by thermocol sheet and the poles made with news paper.This is very simple and easy craft.
I made this craft 2 yrs ago.I don't have step by step pictures.So I am describing in detailed steps ,but not with pictures.
Cutting :
1.cut the thermocol sheet into 3 different squares(big,medium,small).
2.Make 4 poles by rolling the 3 or 4 new papers glue the ends.then it won't loose.
3.Cut the 4 theromcol sheets into flower bracket shape( } ).
Method :
1.Paste together the big and medium sized sheets.this is base of the stage.
2.Paste the poles to the base.(if your not getting just make a pole width hole to the sheet and paste).
3.Now on the top of poles paste the small square sheet.make sure the distance between the poles is less than the small sheet.
4.Now glue the flower bracket shaped sheets on four side of the small thermocol sheet.
5.Let it dry for few mins.
6.Now Decorate as per your taste.I decorated with satin roses,pearls.

I decorated this craft in front of a weeding stage.

Heart Shape Flower Vase

Materials :
Corrugated card board or any thick card
Decorated papers
Glue
Small Box
Scissor

Method :
I used Oatmeal box for Heart Shape and Empty Salt box for vase.Cut the card board into 2 pieces heart shape.

Paste the Decorated papers to card board and box.Make a hole to the Box.

Paste them to box on both side.

Decorate the Heart Shape Card boards as per your taste.place any flowers on the Box.

Heart Shape Photo Frame - Valentine's Day Special

I made this heart frame with wheat flour.The colors for the flower and leaves I extracted from vegetables.red color from beet root,green color from green leaves(coriander,spinach),white color with plain flour.

This frames are going to participate in Priya's Heart For St Valentine's Day event.

CardBoard Village

I made this card board village from Martha Stewart crafts with some changes...

Paper Christmas Tree

I made this tree with a green card.These trees are very pretty,easy to make.really suite for christmas table decoration.I foung this tree instruction from  here .

cut the paper into circle shapes different sizes.

fold them as shown in the figure.

glue them onto a skewer.I didn't have the skewer.so...I folded news paper like skew.I paste it to a card board.

decorate it.that's it.isn't it easy to make :):)

Flowers with Pencil shaving

Materials Required:

Colored Thick Paper or any dark cloth

pencil shavings

Glue

Card board

Method:

glue colored paper or cloth to the card board.draw desired boutique shape.

paste the pencil shavings like flower shape at flowers place.paste piece of pencil shaving like petals.let it dry for few mins.then color the flowers and leafs and draw the stems with color.Decorate asper u r taste.

cover this hanging with poly thin or any transparent paper ,so don't shade the flowers.

Glass Painting

To make Glass painting u will need :

1. Stained Glass
2. Black tube colour (for out line design)
3. Trace paper with design of your choice
4. Glass paint colours
5. Brush (Thin brush)

6. Silver foil or any required foil or paper

Now put the design paper under the glass on a flat surface. Make outline of the design using black tube colour.
Allow it to dry  then apply glass paint colour as per requirement.
While applying colour if there are bubbles on the glass use brush to remove it by spreading the colour with water.bubbles doesn't give good effect on glass paint.

Now if required you can use crushed silver foil or any suitable paper on the back side of the glass for a different effect and can frame it. 

Photo Frame

Materials:

Corrugated cardboard

 color papers

 glue

 craft knife

first cut the cardboard in to 3 equal rectangular shapes 2" more than desired photo size. on one rectangular shape draw the photo size and cut out the middle part.this is front part of the frame.glue and paste the photo on another rectangular card board,this is the middle part for the frame.now cut the 3rd rectangular as shown in the picture.

This is stand for the frame.

take front part attach to the middle part. then attach the 3 rd part at the back side of the middle part.now decorate with color papers on front side .

Tissue Paper Doll

Materials:
  White tissue paper
   coca-cola tin
   glue
   decorative lace
   stickers or color papers
   compact  powder
glue on coca cola tin and paste the tissue paper ,and then paste tissue paper for the dress from middle to bottom of the tin and also paste the tissue paper from middle to top of the tin.for the face blush with compact powder.paint or paste the color paper for eyes,nose and lops.cut the tissue like hair and paste into top of the tin.cut tissue into wing shape paste to both side of the doll.decorate with lace.

Sock Monkey

MATERIALS:
   1. One pair of  any Socks
   2. Stuffing - cut up old nylon stockings, cotton batting, kapok, shredded foam rubber or polyester fiber.
   3. Red knitting yarn.

INSTRUCTIONS:
TURN THE SOCKS INSIDE OUT
Sew a seam (A) 1/2 inch on both sides of the center of sock starting three inches from the white heel and across the end of the top.
 Cut the sock between the seams and to within 1-1/2 inches of white heel.  This leaves an opening in the crotch.

Then turn the sock so the seams are on the inside and use the crotch opening to stuff the head, body and legs.

ARMS:
Cut the upper part of the sock into two pieces.  Seam, rounding the ends and stuff the arms.

MOUTH:
Cut the heel from the sock, leaving a brown edge around the white.  Fasten on lower part of the face,
 whip-stitching around the bottom; stuff and finish sewing around the top.
 The mouth can be improved by a running stitch of either black or white across the middle of the lips.

TAIL:
Cut a one inch strip, taper to end of cuff on length of front of sock.  Seam and stuff.

EARS:
Cut the ears from the remaining brown part of the sole of the sock.

EYES:
Sew on moving eyes, buttons, felt, or embroider with black thread.  (For very small children embroider the eyes.)

CAP: (Optional)
Cut off toe of another sock, leaving 1/2 inch of brown to roll for a brim.  Sometimes a fez is used for a cap.

Hanging Flowers

To make the flowers what u will need

1 tissue roll base

color papers

scissor

glue

                                         

    first paste the color sheet to the tissue role base.

                                              

press horizontally to get petal shape .

                                                  

cut the petals from roll 1''equally.

                                                   

take another contrast color paper cut the paper in petals size.

                                                    

                                              

                                                      

paste it to the petals both sides.attach each petal like flower.

                                                       

                                                        

take any gold paper cut into flower shape.paste in the middle of the flower

                                                               

                                                               

hang these flower in any where.it looks very traditionally.
